We understand the importance of skin health, especially on such an important day. Our team uses only cruelty-free, non-comedogenic, and fragrance-free skincare and makeup products. We begin the morning with rejuvenating "mini facials" to ensure everyone feels refreshed, clean, and fully prepped for makeup application.

We arrive about 30-40 minutes before starting makeup to set up our mobile makeup studio and do full skin prep/mini facials. 1 hour blocked per person to account for extra time and sanitation between each person. Up to 1.5 hours blocked for the bride. Time is also blocked after everyone is complete for final touch ups, as needed.

We customize each persons foundation and concealer, which gives a photo filter look, without having the dryness and cakey effect airbrush makeup can give.

Additional Artist

Parties of 6 or more will require 1 additional artist, per Melody's discretion. Smaller parties may also require one, depending on the schedule/timing.

This rate is per additional artist, who is also a built in assistant to your groups skin prep and lip color application after everyone is dressed, in addition to the set up and tear down of the mobile makeup studio.

Touch-Ups

On site, personal stylist/artist if you’d like Melody or Jill to stay with you longer then the contracted end time. So if you want your artist to be with you before and after the ceremony and photos, you would have your very open personal artist for all your beauty needs

Bridal Preview - Included With Only VIP and Luxury Packages

Think of this appointment like this - It's not just getting your makeup done, it's a full concierge service!

During this appointment, we are working out all the details for your bridal look AND going over all the morning of details.

We make your morning of timeline (we’ve got it down to a science), talk about the set up and flow on the day of and the best location to set up our mobile studio in the getting ready space, talk about family/friend dynamic to avoid stress... and so much more.

We run a well oiled machine over here and set everyone up for a successful, stress free wedding morning. Kind of like a morning of wedding planner! Trust me, you do NOT want to get ready in a church basement, a hotel boardroom meant for corporate meetings, or the getting dressed suite at your venue (they don’t let you in until after 9/10am anyway!)…

These are typically booked a few months or the month before the big day. This will take place at the Melody Sopa Artistry spa in Downtown Milwaukee. We will work to schedule this with you directly.

Making Your Contract

You’re ready to make it official! Cue the champagne and a happy dance!

Melody will make a contract in the brides name that will include the total amount of people getting their makeup done, getting ready location, arrival and end time, and your investment.
It is ok if you don’t have the final number yet, but as close to it as you can for the sake of securing a second artist, if needed.
There will be a non-refundable retainer of 1/3 of the group total to officially book the date with the signed contract. The retainer is the first of 3 payments. Final payment being 60 days prior to the wedding day.
A lot of our brides will either pay for their girls/family's makeup applications as their wedding gift! The group always appreciates the extra help, especially when they have other expenses around the time of the wedding date.

Frequently Asked Questions

We do not. Nor do I add it at my spa for in spa services. If people love our services, gratuity is common, however, we do not add or expect a gratuity as we know everyones budget is different.
YES! If we are available, lots of brides love to have us do bridal shower makeup, engagement photo makeup, rehearsal dinner/welcome party makeup, and day after brunch makeup, too!

That’s ok! It is common to not know the exact getting ready location or the time you need to be dressed and ready by. Or even the total head count (please ask your group ahead of inquiring or have a close idea on total so we can ensure s second artist is available, if needed)
A city name is acceptable for the contract until we know the final address closer to the day of the wedding.
A rough estimate of the time you need to be ready by so we can determine potential arrival time for the contract.
Typically by the time we do the preview appointment is when both are locked in.
If you chose the VIP or LUXURY PACKAGE, your packages includes the preview concierge service. Each brides location and schedule is different, but the average is 3-1 month before the big day.
This is typically when you know your final timeline so we can make your morning of schedule together and closer to how your skin will look if you have been receiving regular facials to improve the health of your skin.
We have had some brides need to do the week before or even the day before, so it really depends, but not something to worry about at the time of booking.
Venues have a space for brides, however, they are a getting dressed space, not a getting ready space.
It is usually way too small. so everyone is on top of each other.
You typically cannot arrive until after 10 am and on average, we arrive around 7-9am, depending on timing and group size - so they will charge you more to arrive to the suite early.
It is always best to get ready at a location where there can be a space for your group to be able lounge and relax, a space for food, a separate space for hair, and a different room for makeup.
It gets hot and loud when everyone is in the same space, so having designated areas helps your wedding morning be more of a relaxing, calm, enjoyable experience!
Melody does! Simply depends on availability. Melody is at her spa full time during the week, so pricing is custom per wedding location and acclimating time away from the spa.
Choose your package and then we will do some research to find out flights, hotel, and other transportation.
Melody can individually accommodate up to 5 guests, sometimes 6, for out of state weddings, as she do not travel with a second artist.

We understand that getting your makeup professionally done can feel overwhelming and intimidating if any of your loved ones don’t wear makeup.
This appointment will either help them feel more confident or even a little tiny amount of makeup may be too much. Either one is ok with us! As long as they feel beautiful, comfortable, and confident.
We are honored to receive inquiries as far as 8–20 months in advance, and because of this high demand, dates are secured exclusively with a signed contract and retainer. Our booking process follows a first contract/retainer received, first reserved approach.
